picked up 2 the other day! so glad i got them. only problem is, the moment i put them both in, one disappeared and the other won't leave his shell!!!!!! for me anyways. when my stepbrother comes to visit it seems as tho an intense urge to clean out the sand in front of his home but the moment i walk in the room he decides to go home and stay there! drives me nuts. i promise pictures as soon as he's comfortable enough to show his face on a regular basis!

When I first got mine, I didn't see them for over two weeks. I was to the point where I was going to remove all the slate to see if they died.

Now they swim out around the tank all the time.

Sounds to me like you have a pair there. The female darts inside , the male "protects" her. Cleaning up the sand are some of the first signs of spawning. They're getting ready.

What size is the tank and what other fish you have in there. Please tell me they're just by themselves :D

lol they might as well be the only ones. i have 4 guppies that were originally supposed to be food but fell in love with them. and a common pleco which i will be getting rid of tomorrow afternoon.

the tank is a 20 Long
