New Addition/Help with ID/FW Goby?

I picked this up yesterday on my LFS tour of Fayetteville, AR. It was sold to me as a Freshwater Goby...the owner of it dropped it off because it ate some of his other fish.

I gave $25 for him. I'm sure I got my shorts ripped. He is right at 8 inches.

If you can ID him, I would greatly appreciate it...

never heard of anyone calling them sand gobys.
These guys can pretty much eat things as big around as they are, and get 2 feet.
Pretty awesome fish, Mines always out.

He WILL eat that bichir though, most likely soon.

I've seen them go from $15 to $45 depending on size so i'd say $25 is a pretty fair price!

ya theyre the same thing
i got mine at barley an inch for about 10 bucks
coudnt get it to eat though
