nice eel ---I am not a pro but it may be a tiretrack eel from the second pic.

big difference in full grown size between a tiretrack and peacock eel, right?
 
I think it's a Tire Track. Tire Tracks gets pretty large and Peacocks get 12" I'm not too familiar with Eels even though I have a Peacock, it's out of sight, out of mind. It's somewhere in the sand.
 
yeah thats what i thought. i had a peacock that was always out of sight as well, i wouldn't see him for weeks. now its been over six months and he's definitely not in the tank anymore. guess just because i couldn't see him didn't mean his tank mates couldn't.

but yeah, that guy in the OP's picks looks nothing like the peacock i had.
 
Not a peacock or a tire track. Zig zag I think...max size around 8".
 
Yep zig zag eel will get around 4''-5'' mabye 6''
