in my 55 reef i have a black saddled toby who is afraid of my corals lol and i have some sps frags in there a star polyp frag and another polyp frag. i got a new fish today (i was kinda worried he would eat my corals) i got an undulated trigger (one of the best looking in my opinion) and is doing great! and so far my corals have been left alone so im happy. i dont have pics or else i would show you... but he looks like this:

Have you researched this fish?

"Its diet should be comprised of at least some live food, with shrimp and scallops being favorites. The Undulated Triggerfish is not reef compatible and will spend much of its time nibbling on corals and rearranging rock to its own liking."

"Balistapus undulatus grows up to 12 inches"
"prefers a tank of at least 100 gallons"
"Best known for it`s eventual belligerent attitude"
"likely to attack tankmates eventually"

hes made friends with my puffer. they swim together. he ignores my corals (my biggest worry is now over) and i have plenty of live food for him. infact i just gave him some and he ate. i know he needs a bigger tank... hopefully im getting a 210 for christmas and thats where hell go but hes pretty small right now. if i dont get my 210 ill use him as a reason to get a 120. (yay). but hell be in there for a few months.

*Crosses fingers* You just never know with fish... I have a 12" fahaka with a tank full of tank mates.

he was in with some other smaller fish at the store and they said he was in there for about a week so i thought he wasnt gonna be too aggressive. and BTW day 3 with no problems!

3-7 days is nothing... Just wait until he gets comfortable & establishes a territory. Something they don't have a chance to do at a shop.

awww... my mom saw him going after a piece of food my toby was eating and thought he was going to eat my toby and wants to take him back now... no more trigger... ill get another one when i get a bigger tank :) but for now :(

I think that is best for your other inhabitants & corals.
