ok i come home from school yesterday
and my gf shows up with this fish as a gift
she says she forgets wat its called
but the only thing she remembers is the worker told her it was a lake cichlid
so now i have in my tank a electric yellow and this
so can anyone please help me with an ID

my sis is on a trip to washington and has our digi cam

Hard to say in the pic, but I would guess a johanni...

Just in case you are new to these.... that would be a Melanochromis, probably a M. johanni.

On second thought, more likely a M. chipokae.

its about an inch long tan wit dark brown markings and a white bellly and is showing a little blue on its back if that helps
