Picked these guys up today from my LFS. What do ya think? Also what are some suggestions for more corals. I have a neon trumpet, the gonipora, the 2 kenya trees, a paly zoa colony and 2 hammerhead polyps. I also have a duncan coming in the mail. What else should I get? Crappy picture quality, my wife left the good camera at her aunts on easter...

That goni is beautiful. If I had more space I'd consider getting one myself. What type of lights are you running? How big is the tank? I'm a huge fan of almost all LPS - Frogspawn, Hammer, Torch, Acans, Brains, Blastos... Depending on what your setup is like I'd recommend Acans. They are hardy corals that don't demand a lot of lighting and they can really add some color to a tank.

I know right. I saw it and I had to have it. Its a green goni, but it also has some neon tentacles that arent quite as big so they kinda get hidden. Also in the front there is a small toadstool that gets completely covered up by the tentacles that I might frag off so it does die. I am running a coralife 234w fixture with 3 12000k and 3 actinic lights on it. Its only a 40 breeder, Ill take a picture of the whole tank later when my water settles( one of my powerheads fell off into the sand last night and blew a whole corner of sand into the water). I keep looking at your acans and they look hot. I already ordered that duncan from WWC. Im gonna see how that goes and then Ill consider ordering some acans. I REALLY like your Neon Wellso too.

i'm in love with my reef, but i hate it at the same time...my stuff will flourish and grow amazingly, then i will have a green hair/red cyano/or some type of outbreak, and everything will be curled up dying off for a week, so i never really get good growth or have a happy medium....killllliiiinnnnggg me... lol

The brain is awesome, but I can already tell it's a bit more sensitive to slight changes than the Acans are. It shrivels up pretty tightly when I do a water change or when I let the evaporation go too long. The acans pretty much are open all the time. Even when I do a water change they don't seem to be bothered. But the brain is definitely worth the work. :D

My LFS keeps trying to talk me into Acans. They have twp 3 polyp colony's. A red and green priced a 35 each or both for 60 bucks. I htink im going to get them the next time I am there. They look really good, and judging by the way yours look they will look awesome when they get bigger.

Right on. They are worth it for sure!

I also picked up a bubble coral and 2 frags of Hydrophora. I glued one of them upside down and the other one right side up. I am going to see which one grows faster. My LFS told me that Hydrophora thats glued upside down will grow almost twice as fast.

Interesting. I've never heard that. Be sure and let us know what the results are.
