Just stripped my Astatotilapia Latifaciata of 19 little boys and girls 1 was DOA... possibly before the strip, it was a little less developed than the rest...

My Xystichromis Sp. fry are doing quite well too, one is already over 1" in just 2 and a half months... the smallest is still around 3/4" I keep them with a baby lemon jake peacock that just started showing color, and a mated pair of kribensis... which for the life of me wont breed for dam.... theyre super bright... the female looks fat like shes going to lay any day... then she slims down again... WTH??? never bred kribs before... anyhoo just wanted to throw this out there

Do you have a small cave for the Kribs? I have not breed them but do know they will breed in a cave and raise the young there. Just a thought

Ooops My Bad.........Congrats on the fry too.

Yeah that would have made sense... I had somewhat of a tragedy though... I feel like I'm cursed when breeding these Astatotilapia's... the first batch... I released into a small fry tank, but while stripping the mother slipped out of my hand, and as I was scrambling trying to find the net... she ate all the fry. This time... I walked into the room and a little yellow lab had jumped into the net breeder where the fry were and ate all but 4 or 5... this is getting real depressing... but as I said... the others are doing great! 2 are even showing an egg spot :)

The pictures are not that great... I took them with my blackberry... the only camera I have presently. The ex-wife got all the good stuff... XCEPT MY TANK :headbang2
