I recently just added some new fish from my lfs to my tanks.
12" Green Wolf Eel (Blenny)
3 1/2" Volitan Lionfish
The eel is in my 75 with a valentini puffer(3in), 2 squirellfish(4 1/2-6in),
lunare wrasse(5in), whitefaced waspfish(3 1/2in),tomato clown(4in) He seems to be fitting in pretty well all the fish except the wrasse are pretty much ignoring him. The wrasse will sometimes what seems to look like he is pushing up against it. He will turn real bright colors and push up against the eel with its body. The wrasse is kinda the pack leader in the tank and is trying to assert its dominance I guess. ( We will see how long that last.) The eel ate quite a bit of frozen krill within 4 hours of being released in to his new surroundings.
The volitan is in my 55 with 3 seargeant majors(2 1/2-3 1/2in),Bicolor Parrotfish (3in), Spotted Hawkfish (3 1/2in), Blue devil damsel(2in), Maroon clown (3 1/2in). He has made a couple of moves toward eating my parrotfish and hawkfish. None of them have been anywhere near successful. He ate some mollies after being in his new surroundings for about 2 hours. He might not be in my 55 for long at the rate he is going. He might stay in there for a couple of months before moving up the ladder.
