lol i wasnt having a go i was more concerned with a "reputable fish shop" selling unlabled "Misc. Africans" :D

and yeh what he said depending on tank size you should be able to get a wide variety (get males only) for a community tank ;) ill remember to watch the thread this time too hahahaha!

it looks very nice you would probably be more pleased with sand than gravel but it doesnt really matter maybe check out pseudotropheus saulosi theyre very cool mbunas

Are africans supposed to be so shy? everytime i walk by or get close to the tank they freak out and hide

With so few fish and not many hiding places they will be more skittish.

I just found this out myself. I thinned out my mbuna group and removed 9 fish last week. Once they were removed the rest of my fish became much more skittish.

Marble Peacock -Orange Speckly one

If you increase the number of rocks and hiding spots, by a lot, the fish will feel safer with a nearby retreat and probably stay out all the time.

If you want some more opinions on the ID of fish, take a clear side shot of each one and post them in the African section and label it "Help ID" or something similar. You should get a few replies then.
