new albino bichir

I got this cute little guy for $9.99 at my lfs. He's active and seems healthy (I've been watching him for about 2 weeks at the lfs, just bought him today). Can anyone tell me what kind of bichir it is?

It's an albino senegal bichir

Albino variation of Polypterus senegalus and to go out on a limb I'm thinking it will be a male

I think it's a "he", too. I was shocked that he was so inexpensive.

They are farm bred I remember when a wild caught albino could be upwards of $200.00

Ahh, I see. I'm just getting back into fish after being out of it for 10 years. So many fish that used to be cheap are now expensive, and some fish that used to be outrageously expensive are now cheap. How the times have changed.

That's a albino senegal. I was surprised how cheap you got your bichir for. I paid $25 for an albino senegal a little bigger than the one in your picture. Where was this LFS in Cali?
