i just got an albino oscar around 5 inches. i have him in with zome convicts and zebras that are half his size and they keep picking on him. he wont even fight back. So what should i do i dont have any other place to put him. His fins are all tore up.so should i get rid of him or just wait it out.i dont really want the convicts and zebras they were given to me so should i just wait until the oscar has had enough and swallows them?

What size is your tank???

Your oscar proabably wont last to long with those guys it sounds like. You should probably get rid of it before it dies. If you really want an oscar just go for a bigger one.

one of the common problems with oscars is that when they are confronted by another fish, the oscar often backs down and won't fight back, even if it is larger and could do more damage. they are not normally a confrontational cichlid though there are of course exceptions. one thing you could try is removing all the other fish in the tank and let them sit in a big bucket or rubbermaid container for a few hours with a powerhead or filter running on it. in the mean time, change around all the decor in the tank and let the oscar get used to it, and then reintroduce the other fish. maybe that way the oscar will find himself a territory and he will defend it a little better. :) otherwise, your best bet is to get rid of either the oscar or the other fish that are picking on it. :)
