Hi,
I just purchased a Juwel 125 litre aqarium, put a layer of gravel that i washed, and then placed in the tank. And, it is only the first say 12 hours of the tank beign active, but it is incredibly cloudy. Is this normal?
I will give it about 3 days and if no change i'll go speak to the LFS. I washed the gravel thoroughly batch by batch in a colender / sieve, until the water ran clear. But it seems as though I could have got even more dirt out of the gravel, inspite of a very thorough wasing.
The dechlorinator I am using also claism that it can cause a blue tint to the aquarium.
When will the aquarium go perfectly clear? And if I have done something wrong, what will I need to do to rectiy it?
I am purchasing some amonia tomorrwo to begin a fishless cycle. I will think about introducing fish when I have ammonia and nitrites down to 0.
Anyway, feedback would be really appreciated.
Lyndon
