not all of it instantly but it will help. but hey you know what you know.

you need safe or other conditioner for the the water if chlorinated, keeping the old tank water is worthless, its just old tank water. carbon not going to do it, is worthless in IMHO.

heres some general tutorials in carbon filtration! theres a couple of scholarly articles in there too if youre the finicky type. ive done my own studies on the efficiency of carbon filtration but don't take my word for it! guess everyone at cornell is full of it too though.

Anticl with aloe will be better i guess but i ll use it wilthout fish inside the first day or second
