Hey there, I just picked up a new aro today, 6.5" long, gorgeous fish. Ive been reading on here about silvers, blacks, blues, and all sorts of colors. My question is the one i bought today was labeled as a silver, im sure it is, but it has a blueish color to his body and the fins are orange tipped. Is this one different than described or just a silver aro??? I would include pictures but hes still a little jittery about his new home and wont sit still. Thanks.

yep sounds silver

I know, but he wont stay still to get a good shot of the colors...as a matter of fact he just flipped out for no reason...

ok i got a picture, another thing im curious about is why hes just chillin out on the bottom in the sand? he flipped out like a fish does when catch them on rod and reel, thrashing and tryin to get loose, now hes just hanging out on the bottom, what gives????

Leaving the lights off for a few hours after addition to the tank will help a lot with stress. I find that fish warm up to the new tank within an hour or so with the lights out.

its stress,turn lights off

I had the lights off for 6 hours after I got him, he swam around for a while then laid in the sand...i turned the lights on to clean some food off the bottom from earlier, and he just sat there...i turned them off when my moon lights kicked on and it was like I flipped his switch, he came to life and started looking for the food sticks he saw me drop in...amazing, thanks guys.
