Hey guys. I recently lost my aro to a sudden crash in my aquarium (although my water parameters were perfect) ???? he was 26”. A friend gave me his silver aro 18” but they have completely different behaviours!!! My monster would swim at the top of the tank all day long. This boy legit stops and lurks. Goes where the plants are and parks and watches for something. A few things in my tank have changed since the crash. I have two spotlights instead of 8 fluorescent bulbs. I also have a bubble wand and live plants in my tank. He doesn’t swim at the top top. He really comes down to the cave (in pic) and sits on it and watches me all day and then goes to the plants and parks (not on the ground, just in the middle).
He’s new to me so I’m not sure of this behaviour lol. He hasn’t eaten in a few days but I think it’s cuz I overfed him. Otherwise water parameters are great and it is an 8’ 265g tank

He goes down to the cave in the pic. In the pic I posted he’s quite high himself but he was still exploring.

Welcome aboard

Crash as in problems with your water parameters?
I suggest not over feeding the Silver Aro.
Yes every fish will not have the same personality. The Arowana will need a little time to adjust to it's new home.

My crash is still very unknown. The water parameters were great (tested before and after the fish died). They were in perfect health too and two of my 3 died (an aro and a spotted severum).

I won’t lie, I did overfeed him cuz he was eating a lot in under a minute each time so I figured to feed him several times???. I haven’t today tho

Over feeding will cause issues such as health problems. I had a Silver Arowana that begged for food every time it saw my shadow lol. I would ignore it for the benefit of the Aro.
