I got a 10" black arowana Wednesday 8/24 and he hasnt showed any interest in food yet. I have had arowanas before but they have always eaten within 24 hours. I have tried frozen krill, krickets, goldfish, pellets. Nothing has worked and they fed them all of these foods at the pet store i got her at. Shes in a 150gal with a odeo pike, red tailed payara, and a tarpon. How long should I be waiting before i start to worry?

No need to worry, may take 3 or 4 weeks to eat normally or it could happen tomorrow. Just makesure noneof the tankmates are pestering her. Being stressed during feeding time is the worst that can happen.

yeah don't worry he will eventually start eating. Crickets would be good choice of food for now.

Sorry but I have to disagree. Crickets tend to be one of arowanas favorite foods, you get them eating crickets and it's very hard to get them to eat anything else. At this point I would only offer a quality pellet or food stick. Once it eagerly eats the pellet, you can then expand the diet to other foods.
