i just got a 8in. silver aro who is in with a clownknife and 2 clown loaches. they all will only eat frozen bloodworms but the question i have is that i have to feed the aro till he is clearly fat and not hungry any more till my other fish can get a chance to eat, then its the clownknifes turn who does the same thing, leaving the loaches to do clean up which they do very well i might add because they also have large bellies. i feed twice a day. am i overfeeding or just keeping my fish happy?

Try a rigid tube to get target feeding to the loaches, and then the knife then the aro. Put it in the water, and just push it down to the fish you want to feed, and put the food into the tube.

The knives and clowns will eat when the lights are off.

You can try that.

Just make sure the lights are off for a while before you put the food in.

try to feed less while getting food to the fishes at the bottom.

I usually throw the food behind the Aro just after he grab one. Hopefully this will work for you. Or divert his attention with a plastic ball.

have you tried feeding the aro market shrimp? that will fill him up really fast :)
