New Arrivals - Barracudas:)

Does anybody keep these guys?

I was told by the importer, they are exclusively live feeders.:(

Has anybody gotten them to go after dry feed?

Lucky, I love acestros. I think these are acestro altus.

I never got mine off feeders, they'd occasionally whack a piece of moving prawn, then spit it out.

those arent really red are they?

They are silvery white. Could be a due to the setting Sun. The pics were taken on my driveway just before dark earlier.

I GOT MINE TO EAT KRILL!!!!!!!! but then it died when I had to move it to my exodon tank... he ate krill when i threw them into the outflow of my AC110... I figured the exodons never bothered any other tankmates, but they were all catfish, so it was a terrible and ignorant mistake. starve them then krill them, it worked for me, but not everybody else.

I need info on these. Where do they come from, and what type of fish are they?

have you got pics of them in the tank?

Sweet pick up Matt... what other fish are you going to mix it with ?

Will probably keep them by themselves. They have very sharp teeth. Probably need to cover their tank too to prevent them from wrecking havoc in an adjoining tank.

These guys originated from Guyana. Not sure which freshwater Barracudas they are yet.

My search indicates that there may be several Characins from South America referred to as cudas. They may be also be Belonesox belizanus.

Supposedly they max out at 12 inch.
