These two beauties arrived from exoticfishshop a little while ago. I have some concerns about them with the odoe, but so far the hujeta is shoaling with the odoe and the chalceus is just doing it’s own thing. Fingers crossed because i think these three look amazing together

The hujeta will be a nice mini version, it'll work for now until the odoe gets bigger I could be wrong but big fish eat smaller fish, tis nature.the pink tail gets decently large so it might be ok I believe Jexnell Jexnell had one

The PTC will get rather large at about 10in, the one I had is around the 8in mark nearing 2years since I got it. Mine was in with some Carpinitis so stayed ahead in the growth race. That and I got it about a year before the cichlids.
Still it's a long narrow fish that would look like a nice snack for a full grown cichlid. I would keep am eye on them as they grow. If the cichlids are paying the PTC undo interest I would think of changing things up.
As seen here, even after eight months,20180103_082344.jpg the Oscar couldn't take no more and ate one of his Roseline sharks tankmates

Thanks
I don’t have any cichlids in this tank. Just the 3 characins, a flag tail prochilodus and some bichirs and a non predatory catfish. From what I’m reading the odoe, PTC and hujeta all get around the same size. Is that accurate?

From what I’m reading, the odoe gets around 14” the hujeta around 12” and the ptc around 10-12”. Are these accurate sizes?
