hey guys this pike hasnt ate since i bought it last weekend.it ate my peacock bass but i have only offered it pellets since.how do i train this thing to pellet feed

Mine always took pellets after a few weeks. If they're in good shape, you can go a week or two without food.

One trick you can try is to keep feeding pellets and occasionally (every few days) feed it one small meal of something it likes just to keep its appetite up. For instance, my 5" saxatilis pike refused everything but bloodworms when I got him from the LFS, so every 5 days or so I'd give him a very small amount of bloodworms while feeding the rest of his tankmates exclusively pellets. First he ignored them, then slowly over the course of a few weeks started chewing them and spitting them out, then one day he just started devouring them. I guess he decided he'd rather eat them than be hungry. It probably helps that other fish in the tank were chowing down.
