I just picked up this srd x kamfa baby from a local breeder. He's only about 2" in length. Lots of pearling and nice red on his throat. He is just eating sinking carnivore pellets right now and I have some Ken's Krill pellets coming in as well as some Cichlid Bio Gold +.
Here is a bad picture. Really friendly little guy.
And I also picked up a young female KKP. She is a nice deep red color and has supposedly laid eggs already in the previous owner's tank. She seems a little freaked out though, her favorite spot when anyone is around is behind the sponge filter. She's about 3"-4" in length.
This is all that I typically see of her.
It'll be at least 6 months before I can attempt to breed them. In the meantime, I shall be growing the little guy out and trying to get my hands on a green texas or fertile red texas as well.
