new baby emperor, what to do? help

Hi I'm new here and I just bought a baby emperor about 4-5 inches long yesterday.
I read a lot of guides in here about SH keeping before I bought him.
I'm in quite of a problem because, my SH is only staying in the corner but he sometimes journeys out and surfaces for air.
He's not as active as he was in the shop that I bought him.
I'm housing him in a 20 gallon aquarium right now, and I'm thinking of getting him a bigger aquarium as he gets big.
wonder what I'm doing wrong and what should I feed him? I'm housing him with some tiger barbs which I hope he would eat.
how do I get him to start swimming around and eating lots?
all the help would very much be appreciated

same happened with me mate, ive got the rainbow snake head, at first he was shy and not doing much, after a few days he's happily swimming around and got his colour back plus feeding, just have be patient that's all, let them get used to their new home and you

feeding time is my favourite time of the day Snakeheads go nuts ahahaa
