Well if you ever plan on buying a good grade Flowerhorn I hope you will not make the follish mistake of feeding disease ridden feeders

Basteredfish has a point but maybe he should ask if they are store bought feeders first. They might be home grown and quite safe.

As for the fish Bastaedfish. If it doesn't take your fancy, why not press back page instead of insulting another member for no justified reason. If we all had the same taste,we would all own the same fish. How boring would that be. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and with all your fish keeping experience you have somehow missed this.

rocsorcs. That is a nice fish and I hope you enjoy it.:)

Thank you, very much.

I am feeding my flower horn cut up pieces of market shrimp, as well as brine shrimp, and some Pro Balance Red Parrot pellets, which is what the lfs owner feeds all of the FH's he has to inhance their color.

The guppy was in the tank before the FH was. He was more of a casualty rather than a feeder.

And by the way the FH I bought was only $6.99. I know it isn't a "good" quality FH, but it has alot of personality, and I liked it.

The store that I bought him from had 5 different tanks with FH's in them, ranging from $6.99-$99.99. So yeah, I got the cheap one, because I've never owned one before.

Okay, I'm done now.

Everybody has bad days, even BastardFish. Anyway congrats on the fish.

Alright see with an explanation like that I can understand a bit more. Tells me that you do understand the importance of a balanced diet. The fact that your new the fish was not the best grade and opted to go with it for lack of experience is respectable as well. Now that I understand a bit more. I will say sorry if I did offend you. Sometimes I do get tired of people's irresponsible fish keepers habits and I am not the type to hold my peace to long( not saying you are) Just every time I see low graders makes me get a vision of another person who didn't do their job as a responsible breeder and kull them. I know to some that might seem a bit hash and or mean too, but it is the truth. Many of us have gone threw great lengths to try and eradicate these type of fish out of the hobby. So that only nice types become available to the public and thus in the long run dropping the price on them so many more can enjoy their beauty. Again sorry to come off like as as$ I too have purchased fish not for their looks alone. I do speak my mind though if I think a fish is nice I will tell someone. If it is other way around I will also let it be known. In that respect I think honestly is good. I also respect when others do it to me too. I always see many people say ''oh great fish'', when something is far from great. It makes me just think ahh god here we go again what a joke. Although almost all FH have great personality's. I am sure you will learn that too in time. Okay I said my piece well enjoy your fish sorry to take the jam out of your donut:)
