I'm new to this. Unfortunately I only see one. I want to try to save him. He's only about as long as a dime is wide, maybe smaller.
In think'n I'm going to try to catch him and put him in another tank.

If its in a tank where fish can eat them they probably will. You can try raising the one on your own. I just use a small tank and sponge filter until they get a few inches. I have never tried raising one a lone though I have always had them in groups. I usually let the mom hold the fry until she is ready to spit, I will usually separate her out into her own tank, I have done decently well with this so far.
 
Thanks for the response, the little guy is getting ballsy and is getting out into a little more open water, so i guess he'll get swallowed up I guess. Now that I know I have a couple doing the nasty I'm going to have to be more observant!
