These guys are tiny. No more than 2-2.5". Big thanks to Mike (m_class2g) from Exotic Aquaria. The NTT is already working on pellets; no starving required. I've only had them for about 3-4 days, and have been feeding live blackworm and shrimp to start.
Sorry for the poor photos and scratched/dirty glass.

Just a real short video of NTT taking his first pellet.

You're not worried about that snakehead messing with the baby dats? Nice pick ups.

Thanks, Strollo.
Not at all; they are very passive. They are currently kept with Paradise Gouramis, roughly the same size as the Dats. The tank that they are in is subtropical though; the temp is currently 81F, but I'll move them out before the temp starts to drop (gets down as low as 64F in the winter). Just trying to bulk them up a little before they move on to the next grow out tank.

Just spotted an NGT with a pellet sticking out of his mouth. Definitely the easiest pellet training ever haha.

Looking good, I used to have an auranti who for some reason showed no interest in eating his tankmates, but your braver then i am to trust them with little dats !

Very nice! Glad to see they are doing well! Even better that they are pellet trained so fast. Keep the updates coming!

Thanks. I'll give another update towards the end of next month when I move them to the next growout tank.

Thanks. They don't even nip the longs fins of the Paradise Gouramis. I wouldn't risk them if I wasn't very confident. There are tons of driftwood and plants for them to hide in too.
