New Baby Ornate Bichir

Hello, I just got myself a baby ornate bichir today of about 3 inches with beautiful colors, I plan on eventually adding to a 180 gallon but for now I have him all alone in a 30 gallon growout , here’s a pic

Thank you and yeah he’s by himself in a 30 gallon tank with an aquaclear 50 filter

bichirs sometimes swallow stones. I would watch out with your substrate, sand or fine gravel is better.
Ornates are one of the fastest growers in my experience. he or she looks great

Thank you for the advice, up to now all my bichirs have been in tanks with gravel or river stones but I’ll keep that in mind when. I upgrade tanks

What do u feed I just got a stubborn endi he's not really eating trying shrimp tilapia Birkenhead up carniovour but no interest. Any advice would be nice.

I use these nutrifin max bottom feeder pellets and north fin pellets
