New baby poly... What species is it?

Definitely not a retro.
My guess would be endi or endi/ansorgii hybrid.

Cell phone pics so I know they aren't that great. he is also washed out too, but he is darkening up and swimming out without a worry now...I'll grab a better picture when it gets bigger. Will update as I go.

I agree with the others its probably an Endli/Ansorgii hybrid like the ones I've got,mine are not really growing or its incredibly slow growth.

My Ansorgii X Endi grew really fast. Got him a year ago around 4"-5" and is now over 12". Just fed beef heart, sand eels, silver sides and ghost shrimp. Patterns will get bolder in a few weeks.

Like the others have said, that's Endli x Ansorgii.

Where are all these hybrids comeing from ?!? i was under the assumption they were pretty rare
