Hey guys i was hoping someone could provide some insight. I recently bought 4 baby RB's and they have stopped eating. It i important to note that these are the only 4 fish in the tank.

Day 1 - received baby rb's, acclimated them to tank. 5 hours later fed them frozen bloodworms which they loved and ate like crazy.

Day 2 - gave them frozen bloodworms again, but they did not even touch them.

Day 3 - gave them frozen bloodworms again, and again not one of them ate them?

any ideas..?..are they just full from the first day of feeding. From what i have read on here some feed theirs everyday without any issues? Thanks in advance?

what size tank are they in and what kind of filtration you have?
did you check the water parameters?

they myay need more time. dont feed them 4 a few days.imo

There are in a 55g with a fluval 405 and an AC70...water parameters are fine...tank has been fully established for over a year with weekly water changes. Just removed the last fish the morning i put these guys in.

um...what size are they at? should be eating by now. when I bought my caribes, they were like 1" or 2" but start eating right away after I have them in the tank.
just keep trying and make sure you take out the leftover.

Update - Day 4 - this morning they still did not eat...

what's the parameters? give us some number here. I've never had a pygo at that size didn't eat for 4 days.

:nilly::screwy: RB??

I'm not tryin to be an a**hole but are you sure they are piranhas and not pacus? Also what is your water temp? I have had piranhas that stopped eating after I had a heater break and went unnoticed. The temp in my tank had dropped to 68F and that was when they stopped eating.
