Thanks for posting up. Didn't know from your pms before that there was a snakehead in with him. I would definitely say that he might be fine. There is a lot of red by the tail fin. He needs to be in a tank seperate from the other fish until he heals if at all possible. If he is acting out of normal and not eating you may want to consider treatment with melafix or some kind of antibacterial, or antifungal agent. For now he might be ok, but keep an eye on that tail as he could develope an infection.

a cichlid bit his tail but i took him rite out.. u guys think tht his tail will grow back? and how long?

The tail should grow back in about 2-4 weeks.

I put him with my community fish - 4 cory cats and 2 bala sharks eaten later he's by himself. I figured I could give him a big jolt and put him with the Pleco, Sleeper and my channel. But not quite big enough to be pushed around by the Pleco and the Sleeper. I named him RC now he is by himself next to the 125g I threaten him "do you want to visit your cousin Gizmo my 17" RTC"
he is cute like all RTC's, I feel bad because he is by himself and GIZ got to grow up with Spike his tank mate TSN

no worries bout the snakehead guys. i have had the snakehead for about a 6 months now and he is pretty tamed.. i have had him with other fish such as angels and even guppies and other common fishs. So im not worried about the snakehead eating the catfish but is worried for the snakehead when the catfish grows. Right now i am feeding the catfish some market shrimp and blood worms and he just goes crazy, hopefully his tail will grow back...
