hi guys,

atm i got two catfish which are tigrinus and rtc. today i bought new baby silver arowana then put him into my tank.

are these catfishes ok with my new arowana? will they eat my new arowana?

regards

The RTC's gonna probably eat the arowana in the near future. What are the sizes of the fish?

arowana is 5/6 inchs long
rtc is 3 inchs long
and tigrinus is 8inchs long.

atm they are ok though

Is that 5-6" long? If it's actually 5/6", I'm surprised the rtc hasn't already eaten it

i would watch out... the RTC will grow 2 to 3 inchs a month or more... in a couple months he will probably try to eat the aro... and a RTC with a tig... that's going to end badly for the tig... the tig grows very slow compared to the RTC... 2 months or so that RTC will be as big as the tig and will start bulling him... what size tank are they in??? and where are you planning to put the RTC for life??? you know they can reach 24 inch in a year (my buddy has one the has gone from 3 inches to 23 inch in 9 months... and i got a tig that was 6 inch at the same time and in the same amount of time he is only 13 inch) where the tig will reach 25 to 30 in it's life.... be sure to keep a close eye on this combo.. i see trouble in the future... i hope for you it doesn't but 99% of the time this will not work... i would say get rid of the RTC... the tig and aro shouldn't be a problem together... but RTC with either could end very badly....

atm they are in 3ft fishtank but i am waiting for my 7ft fish tank to come by this week or next week. i am planning to get a massive fishtank when they are too big.

well most of rtc are young so they always get problems with other fishes when they young. i know i am agree with you..........

dont worry, i will watch on them. right down, i am thinking to move or sell my rtc cos he is always to get my tig's place so i think my tig is so pissed atm,

thanks

I've seen RTCs drive bigger fish out of tanks by trying to eat them, so it is a real possibility regardless of what part of the tank the fish occupies.

rtc can get an aro. he'll get it when the aro goes to sleep. i had an 8 inch rtc with an 8 inch pbass n my rtc ate the bass...i was surprised.
