Today i went fishing. But after 2 and a half hours i hadn’t caught a thing, not to mention my reel broke. so i let out some line and threw it and pulled it just like what a reel would do. finally i decided to trade spots. Then i saw them, two BEUATIFUL (sp) peacock bass!!! one was roughly 17 inches (not sure but it was BIG) and the other was about 14 inches (again I am not sure). They were sooo beautiful. I tried a bobber but the fish didn’t pay much attention. Once the larger one bit the meat but got loose :( I then switched to the artificial lure. They paid much more attention and the large one got it. I succeeded in getting it to the shore (the fish was so close it wasn’t hard, but then it tore the hook out. I began to get desperate but the smaller one was still there I tried more with the three inch long lure and I finnaly succeeded!!! The hook was pretty hard to get out but I managed. So anyway the bass is doing VERY well in the pond, swimming around etc. not 100% yet but he is improving. When he gets better I will have to move some fish out (Acaronia nassa and a few others.) Because there isn’t a lot of fish that cant be eaten buy fourteen inches of pbass. I am glad I didn’t get the big one though, it would have eaten the Oscar!!! Oh, I also got a gorgeous acara!!!
More pics later when I can borrow the dslr camera!!!
