Here is the new addition. I was looking for something smaller but I'll have to stock with big ones......maybe I need a bigger bucket for next trip.

Nice color! Did it make it home alive in that bucket? If so, I can't wait to see it in the tank. Next time get a big beer cooler and fill it with the lake water. Add a couple bait aerators and he'll be good in there for the trek home.

Wow. Everybody's starting so big! My 1" baby is just hitting two inches and I'm so proud. Great to just skip to the majesty, I guess, but I like raising them. To each our own!

Yup he made it home just fine! Thankfully I live VERY close to the lake so he was not in the bucket more than 10 minutes before I got him home and into the pond.

I was trying to start a little smaller but ya know........never look a gift bass in the mouth? Seriously there has been a small school of smaller bass hanging out right off the end of the boat ramp for the past week. I finally had a chance to go after them but the moved on and I could not find them.

I'll try to put some pictures up of the bass in the pond.

Anyone have any recommendations for my 8x4 foot pond? Will another bass of this size work? I've kept and bred a lot of different cichlids but uncharted waters for me with a bass of this size. Blue gills are most likely out as I have no idea where to get any.
