I want to get a PBass or two, but I'm unsure what type to get because IMO they kinda look the same since I don't know what to look for difference wise. Im thinking of getting one or two Monos but I'm unsure.....Thanks. PS: what do i need to properly care for them (skip the tanks part, i have that covered...:) )

Tank size is more of the issue.
If you have smaller than a 300g I would pass on them.
They grow massive and require very large tanks.
Other than that its very clean, warm and highly airated water.

They look the same perhasp in their juv stages but when they are adults they look very different. Go google, "Azul Peacock" , "kelberi Peacock", "Orino Peacock", "xingu Peacock", "Intermedia Peacock".

Since you say u have tank wise covered im assume tank size & water quality/ filtration. all i can think of left is diet, as for me i prefer pellets(may take some training), else prawns is the next recommeded thing on my list. These monsters love live feeders and can eat ALOT,

Thus prepare to spend more on food & keeping their water clean as they tend to eat and **** more then other monster fish such as your asian arowana/ gar/ catfish.

Hope to one day see your new thread on peacocks

Good luck

Here's a group shot, six different types of bass. Clockwise from the top,
Pleiozona, ocell, azul, Temensis
And in 20160202_172237.jpg the bottom right corner,
Kelberi
Orino

As you can see they vary allot in appearance20160202_172237.jpg
