I don't think tuna would be a very healthy thing to feed it. I would just stick with krill, worms, and bloodworms.

Click "FORUMS" at the top right of the page, scroll down until you find the forum/subforum to which your thread will be most relevant (subforums are listed in smaller letters below each forum), click it, find where it says "New Thread", then click that, type your post, give it a title, and an icon and/or poll if you want, then click "Submit New Thread".

I just got my first one. It is about 2" Long what do I feed it with it's that small. Will it eat raw tuna.

Tuna has too much fat and oil for your poly. Try to feed him some sinking shrimp pellets(mine love em').

tuna no
you can feed tailapia or shrimp

I gave him a little before I read this. It was the first time he ate since I got him, so that was good, but i will not feed him anymore of it. Can I get it to eat pellets, and will he become more active during the day.

Q: Can I get it to eat pellets?

A: Yes. It may or may not accept them at first, but if it doesn't, just starve it for about 3-4 days, then offer them again, and repeat the process until it accepts them.

Q: Will he become more active during the day.

A: Some do, some don't. What species is it?

Edit: I assume it's the one in your other thread, right? Senegals tend to be a lot more active than the other Poly. species, so yeah, it will probably become more active during the day. I have a spoonhead senegal, and I haven't seen it hide once in at least the last 6 months.

Ok but starving him means starving the other fish and he is not out at all he hids all the time and never swims around at all. When I feed by other fish it does not even move. At night sometimes I hear him splashing around so how can I tell of he is eating the pellets if I never see him. Do you kinda get what I mean.

Try Guppies, Ghost Shrimp, Chicken Heart, White Market Fish, Pellets, You can take flakes and roll them into a wet ball and sink it.
These will all usually work in moderation, and eventually he'll get onto pellets.
I got mine at about 1.5",
and now he's 6" easy.

I would try spot feeding it (putting food near it in an area that the other fish can't/won't reach) before feeding the rest of the tank so you can see whether or not it's eating.
