New blue eyed pleco

Just got this monster blue eye. My largest and most expensive fish to date!
Also the first one I’ve ever seen in person so I’m pretty excited. He’s a big boy and acclimating right now. He just made the hour drive home and I’m using a fast drip since he’s in 50% RO water.

Thanks! I’m so happy with him, nice long trailers on the tail fins! The belly is a little sunken but the eyes are in good shape. I’ll have to drop some greens in tonight when the lights go out.

One of the best pleco species, if I may ask, how big is he?

He’s moved around the tank a bit since I put him in. You can see the sunken belly here.

He made it through the night. Doesn’t look like he touched any of the broccoli or shrimp I put in. Gotta let him settle a little longer I suppose. I’ll try again tomorrow night. I didn’t see any driftwood in his holding tank but there’s plenty in mine. Could be wishful thinking but the belly looks a little more full today. Can’t really tell from the photo.

Very large poo suggests to me that he’s finally eating. I assume the driftwood based on the color and the fact that I removed all other uneaten food. Other than my fire eel, he’s the only large fish in this tank so it must be his. I’ll update when he presents me his belly.

Tank water looks cloudy but it’s just my fancy iPhone 6s camera.

fishhead0103666 , just saw your question. He’s right at a foot without the trailers. The measuring tape was a little behind his nose. Forgot to post this photo when I was acclimating him.
