Picked up a 6" blue diamond from Aquascape last Friday.
first couple pics are when I first got him, can see how pale the color is and there's almost no red in his eyes.

middle pics (brownish color) is the second day and can see the eyes turned blood red over just one night.

last few are taken today, after just few days the color started to appear.

I need to figure out what setting I have to set on my camera for the lighting I have in that tank since the some of the pics came out not good at all.

so you have three rhoms now?

I was just thinking the same thing. You're running an orphanage for rhoms over there jp. I was starting to think you were thinking of a cohab or something.

that's a good idea, all I need now is a 6" gold diamond then I can try to have all 3 rhom cohab in my square tank..um.....I wonder which diamond will be the one that will live at the end...wish I have that kind of cash to burn ;)

sounds like reality TV for fish nerds.

<---I'd watch it.

yea, it'll be like survivor...who gets voted off...actually it'll be who gets chewed off. LOL

it's wild caught and just imported a week ago so all the fins aren't healed yet.
piranhas are fin nippers and in the amazon river is full off piranhas so everyone is a target, even piranhas themselves. when young they tend to shoal together (yes serrs and pygos together) to protect themselves from larger predators.
However, there is one at AS that has prefect fins, I didn't pick it because something about this little fellow draws me in.
