I already have 7 bluegills. I went fishing yesterday and today. I kept 10-12 bluegills. My intention was to simply catch fish and release them. When I caught a 4 and 5 inch bluegill yesterday, I kept them. Today's catch ranges from a few 5 inches, 7 inches and the rest 4 inches.

Give me your opinion on taking them back or keeping a few. Thanks. The fish are in lake water in a large cooler, so they can go back.

Do you have a tank you plan on putting them in? And how many do you already have?

fillet it, tempura batter it, dip it in your favorite sauce. keep a few of the really good ones.!!!!

Don't really care for the taste of fish, so wild caught fish are safe with me.:lol2:
I currently have 11 tanks. 4 are empty temporarily. I was thinking of taking a 125 that I had for Indian mudskippers and put in more natives. Might keep a few and give the rest away or take them back. Bluegills are after all, bickerers. Still undecided.

With so many other choices in the south I would eat them (I know you don't like them but if I swing on by during deer season you can hook me up), or put them back.
