Well thought I would put him on he is starting to colour up now will take some moor pictures at the weekend the pictures do no justice and I must say were taken with a camera phone. He /She is an unidentified blue form of snakehead from Assam in India. Only available in very small numbers. Many of the Indian species are new in Europe and there are some stunning new colour variants now coming into the U.K
but id say that that is not unidentified, this is a male Channa Stewarti maybe spec. Himalaya or true blue they are all Stewarti, keep him in cool water like Channa lal cheng/Assam, bleherie, Aurantimaculata they are all Snakeheads that are better to be kept in cooler water....
