Hi guys and Gals,
just aquired a Jardini aro today is about 2 inch body. very nice specimen very yellow!!

now i had one of these before but he passed away for no apparent reason. all my water parameters were fine and was eating like good'un!! i have heard this few times before i am not sure what it is maybe someone on here may be able to shed some light on it, coz i don't want it happening again!!

also any handy tips or hints for young Jardini, i know the basics of aro's i had silver that got to 22inch sometime last year. just wanna know anything specific to young jardini, feeding, water chemistry wise etc????

cheers peeps

it must be jardini season again... there flooding my lfs with 2" jars for less then 30 bux. feed baby hikari pellets if possible. water chemistry is pretty basic. just feed and dont house with other fish.

Boobie?????? why would i call it boobie?? i said buby and meant it lol bit like baby but buby or bubby. lol oh well :D

nah no yolk sack, wouldn't purchase one, would rather let it stay in the shop till it goes. :)

so no ideas why these jardini's are going mysteriously???

Any ideas on what i shoul or shouldn't feeding? anything at all he would benefit from?
also what is an ideal temp range specific for jardini?

I keep my tank for the jar at a 79F-80F temp. Feed the bugge meal worms, which seems to be the only thing he eats these days. Once in a while he will take a frozen krill.

Although early on, he used to eat plankton, small bits of FD Krill easily, but when I started him on meal worms..all hell broke loose.

My jar got to the size of 6" and is getting thick.:naughty:

right. in the last 4 days he has eaten everyday and has eaten bloodworm, mussel, cockle and krill. i wanna get him on to dry foods, like Hikari floating predatory sticks, i think there very good. but he is not at all bothered by them. i think this may be because my vallis goes all the way to the top and along top?? what ya reckon, should i chop i back a bit? alsoi got my vallis spreadin along the base of tank now have had aboout 5 shoots in last ouple week alas big as the others now!!
