New buetokofferi

nice pickup i got one also
 
i got one about 2 weeks ago he is a bit darker than i imagined but thats cause he is a juvi i excpect little boy (thats what i call him) to become lighter as he grows older. i also call him killer cause he has eyes that are like blue no joke and his head is shaped so it looks like he has an eye brow and it looks like he's mad but he is so skinny and he is 4 inches. lol he's getting big though lol.
 
nice but isn't the second bichir a palmas???I can see any gold. I might be wrong.
 
To me i have only seen one palmas palmas and i currently own a palmas buetikkoferi. But that looks like a light colored buetikkoferi it's probably just stressed from the move. mine took a couple days to adjust. i've found that the colors are darker as a juvenile and as they grow bigger they tend to lighten up a little. My buettikoferi was really dark when i got him but he was in a black graveled tank so i don't know if it was because he was stressed or if it was the gravel. but i have normal colored gravel and he seems to be lighting up. so give it some time.
 
Nice Palmas Buettikoferi. There is a lot of variations in Bichirs. 10 Palmas Buettikoferi in the same tank could look different from each other.
