Hey all...

So my new Caribe has been hanging out for about a week now and hes just started to come around. He was super skittish at first and hid 24/7 for a few days. I then had the idea that maybe I can make LESS hiding spots and sure enough now hes swimming around the tank a lot more.

Here are some pics he let me get close enough to snap! Ill update with some feeding videos and what not down the road.

Aquascape looks great and happy to hear the Caribe is coming out its shyness.

VERY NICE! Good sized Caribe too, you'll get to grow him out. Where did you get him from?

Thanks man! I have always wanted to grow one out. I finally got a chance to catch him eating some shrimp from a hanger. I have been trying to get him used to it early on.

Wow! Nice, they are so cool when they are younger. It will be cool to watch him grow up.

Thanks guys! Any tips to get him on pellets? (besides just not feeding him until he eats them!) He has been really good on taking shrimp off the hangar. But I want to supplement with pellets as well. He seems to mostly ignore them as they sink down.

Try to mix his diet up a little. I feed mine mainly shrimp, chunks of tilapia filet, and earthworms. I have never had any luck feeding a piranha pellets.
