hopewell,va
quick background then pic.

so I got this guy 2 days ago as a mate, really just play mate for my female flower horn(no keeping of the fry or anything) but the female didn't like him. So now he's in a 30 gallon tupperware under my 125 until i can get the wife to let me setup my 55gallon. hed i known my FH wouldn't like him i would have gotten the escondo the guy had , but i like all carp so it worked out.

hope you enjoy. by the way i took the pic through the tupperware and he is still a little stressed from all the motion over the past 2 days.

I would have done that, but i got a small FH at the same time as i got the carp and the female picked the little FH over him. I just went with it. No need to cross breed such a beautiful carp. Plus the female is known for jumping, breaking, and just plin old destruction of eggcrate dividers. I tried it with aa couple of red devil males and she decimated them every time she got to them.

Why would you want to breed a nice carpintis like that with a flowerhorn.

Just so they could have some action, not for fry or anything. He was in a 40 gallon tall with about 24' x12' to swim(divided with a larger one) and my FH looked lonely in the 125. Jsut someone for them to love:)
Now i'm looking to get him a nice little female carp, then my wife has to let me set up my other tank, HA HA!!!

Absolutly, i plan on getting him in to his new home,55Gallon, by the need of the week. I'll post more once he's in there.
