new cartrige setup for penguine 350

i run 2 penguine 350's on my 75gal and just a few days ago i got the openable cartriges made for them. i got to filter floss and diamond blend carbon. it was cloudy for about a day. but since then my water has been absolutly sparkeling.
i know alot of people here are against using carbon and i know its true that you shouldnt need carbon. but i cant argue with results.

I agree that you cant argue with carbon as a wy to polish water. Especially in big tanks where 20% water changes become a big deal.

I also use carbon, but the filter floss is polishing the water.

rinse them first and they won't make your tank cloudy

i did and maybe i didnt do as thouroly as nessisary but i did give them a run under the tap. it was probably a combination of the new cabon dust and the fact that i had just done a water change. i change water weekly and generaly a couple days before the water change the water starts to take a little bit of a stale look to it. (not as white and clear) but this is as bright as the first day. Hurray
