In bag pics, they are kind of rubbish.

If anyone can give me a definite ID I would be very grateful. He looks to me a lot like frontosus but he could be a hybrid I am told. Thanks.

Whatever he is, I am pumped about this fish
:D:D:D

A better pic,

Thats Him........................yippee!!! I finally have some else to talk to who owns one ..synodontis frontosus.. cannot wait to see him out of the bag.. congradulations on great rare catfish pick up.............:D :D :D how big is yours.. when they are young the spots are easier to see.......great!!

WOOT!!!

Pretty sweet for £5 ($10)

This is awesome, I LOVE this fish, I just can't wait for him to grow. I was just wondering though, what do you feed yours? He looks big and healthy, and planetcatfish is kind of vague.

Btw, If anyone in Bucks is interested, there are four more of his brothers and sisters ;)

wow they just did not know what they had in that store.. wish i could get them haha.. it will never happen to me.. i feed mine cat fish pellets{ bottom dwellers food} and algae wafers ... and he likes frozen silversides ..so experiement along those lines of foods until he goes for it..did you ask at the LFS what they were feeding............. you are very lucky.. and your going to have a great time with this guy once he settles in.. they are sweet and smart and silly ... lots of personality..

Yeah he just looks so personable, he has such a friendly face. Thanks for the info, I have some bottom feeder pellets so I will give those a try. I will ask them what they feed next time I am in, I'm pretty sure they just feed bottom sinking pellets because they were on top of the tank they were in.

Is sand alright as substrate for him? I want him to have the best :P

i think you can look at what is the best with all synodontis cats.. i have gravel i=... i think sand would be better but please check on this and let me know.. good luck with him and i am very happy timing was perfect.
