Marble is a common name. As for the exact species, there are a couple with that kind of pattern including P. Perruno and L. Longibarbis...they usually end up being the latter.

ohh i see. i got him about a month ago and he was about 4 1/2 " now hes about 8" lol.. hes getting big fast. i know how everybody feels about feeders and that what ive been feeding him but what else would he enjoy if anybody knows?

Its a marble achara, grows to 2 ft and is a hearty eater!They love earth worms and cat fish pellets, and the odd fish or two.
There one coolest cats next to tigs and tsn rtc.

mine's 20inches and loves frozen krill, earthworms, and has a taste for whiptails and bottom catfish....no feeders though, at least on purpose. Won't take tablet food.

im gonna have to try something else because i have about 20 feeders i bought last week and he hasent touched this batch . i hope hes ok..hes swiming around alright but he hasent ate like he has before??
