New Catfish

Picked this guy up at Gerbers today

I think its a channel, just marbled. They had some weird crazy name for him and said it was "rare". I thought he would look good with my bass so I took him.

so its a native species? if it is that is probably a marbled kind..never seen it before, looks nice especially with that datnoid..

I guess..I found a black channel online but nothing close to this yet. He is doing great with the bass and he is very calm. Need to get some weight on him and he will look much better.

That is a beautiful catfish. A friend of mine caught a marbled channel in his pond about 15 years ago. It wasn't colored like this one. It was light gray with patches of cream all over.
