IN YOUR HEAD
went fishing yesterday and cought a baby channel cat. it's like 8". i have cought many in the past and i have allways wanted to put one in my tank. so i took it home and put it in my 200gal with my silver aro, gar, 2bgks, 8 tinfoils, 3bala sharks, and a large common pleco. i want to put it in a pond with a rtc, tsn, rtcxtsn. does anybody have this combo or any ideas on possible problems. now all the cats are simmilar in size, rtcxtsn 11", rtc 5", channel 8", tsn will be getting one at 3-5" soon. now the rtc and tsnxrtc are in a diff. tank together.

question what do you use to catch catfish. me and my friend have thought about going catfishing for fun.

I've had the best luck with chicken livers.

ive kept a similar batch, channel/ rtc/ rtc x tsn/ paroon/ ck. the channels are pretty aggressive in heated water which is needed for your other fish. once my channel started t get after the others which were similar and larger in size, the $5 channel cat had to go. what i always suggest when in doubt....compare value and price of fish and let that determine your experimental mixing.

i used night crawler to catch it, i also use liver and stink bait. with crawlers i tend to catch lake sturgen also...my biggest sturgen was 53" and 48lbs on a #6 octopus hook and a 1/4" piece of crawler. i have used the value method to cull fish from a tank ex. tiger oscar or silver aro my oscar harrased my aro to the point of injury so the oscar had to go.

would a tiger muskie work in the cat pound or would it get eatten
It would have to be rather big WAY bigger then the catfish. I would think if the catfish is 11" then the musky should be at least 20 but it might eat your smaller catfish or try to.

ya i was counting on that... now they are good though...i've cought 2'-3' channels before and i've seen muskies in the 55"+ and tiger muskies in the mid 40"s. i will be building a pond!
