NEW CHINESE PERCH

out of the ones that I've had I only got 1 to take pellets. He is growing much quicker than the others. I've been feeding sinking cichlid and sinking carnivore pellets

ANY AND ALL FISH SHOULD BE OFF LIVE FOODS. INLESS YOU HAVE A QUARENTINE TANK FOR THE FEEDERS

TRY STARVING HIM FOR A FEW DAYS AND INTRODUCE HIM TO MARKET SHRIMP (WILL BE WAY CHEAPER SINCE THEY ARE PORKERS)
 
Looks like all my feeders will be gone today. So now I start trying to mine (and ohers) off live. I find that it works best to go from live to frozen and then to shelf foods (pellets/flakes/freeze-dried).
 
i had one of my perch on market shrimp. i would put a small square on the end of a toothpick and hold it at the top of the water. he took it right off of the toothpick without flinching! they are pigs. i'm feeding him ghost shrimp, guppies, and rosys...
 
yeah its easy to get them off feeders. mine got at the meet from r1. thanks again for a beautiful perch. i starved him for 2 days and i threw in beefhheart and marketshrimp he took it right away. now hes eating like crazy and growing very fast. he's now 4.5" hehe.
