Anyone ever had this? Ive never seen him before. Heres a couple pics of the tank he is in also.

Geez thats a large picture....does indeedy look like a female compressiceps... But it might just still be young....males will be bright green/blue...on their faces mostly...nice pick up!

thnx for the quick reply. They called it something like that compressicess too. Im trying to search though pics to find her. Do you have any links with some info on them?

I hope you have at least a 100 gallon tank for this guy. Males will grow to about 10" and females to about 8". Once the fish gets to be around 4-5" it should show it's blue coloration if it is a male. If it is a female it will always look like that. Also once it grows up all your Tetras will become food.

Yep i asked at the lfs how big they get and they said maybe 6 inches in a year but when he gets big enough i am putting him in a 130.

yeah, those are some pretty big pics but from what I can tell the fish and tank setup look great. as for the fish, here's a link for ya!
