new clown loach

found him at my lfs today. only about 1 1/4" not very big just to clarify are they scavengers? Will they survive with aggressive fish once big enough?

depends on what kind of aggressive fish? I got my clown loaches with some mbunas and they are doing fine

so long as he can hide and not be eaten i'd say he would be fine

Both fish require different water parameters...loach needs to go...get a syno. they do great with mbunas. btw loaches are VERY slow growing. i've been keeping them for almost five years and the biggest one is about 6". If you're going to keep him, they are quick and agile, but mbunas are also pretty mean spirited. good luck

right now he is in a community tank and the meanest fish are angel fish but nobody has picked on him so i think he will be good for now
